Notes
shntool-fixed version (by Jeff Kempka?) of previous shn set: Unknown Mics > DAT @48k; Transfer: DA-20mkII > Hosa S/PDIF > Delta DiO 2496 > Peak (downsampling) > WAV > SHN (no extraction); Transferred, SHNed, and seeded by Jon Seff; see flaw and tracking notes in info file
* - w/David Murray on sax
# - w/Sikiru Adepoju on talking drums
Notes: There is some diginoise during the first few minutes of Parade Drums. Also, levels are a bit high during part of Drums/Space. I tracked it this way so it would flow nicely on three normal discs, but there are only fades at the start and end of sets, so you can arrange the discs in any way.
seeded 07.30.01
There were sector boundary errors on all tracks on the original SHN's. I performed a SHNTOOL fix on the wav's for each set and re-encoded the tracks to seekable SHN. The md5s differ from a prior re-release of these SHN's in which the SHNTOOL fix was performed on the entire show, rather than on each set individually. Also the previously "fixed" shns were not seekable - these are.

I remember Jerry's fingerpicking on the solo on Lazy River was particularly horrendous, as was his missed cue coming back from one of the solos on Eyes.
Glad at least I got a Box for my last tune...

There should be soundboards of the tours after they stopped tapers from patching in. right.
good times. I'm young but we all are.

Subject: My first and only Grateful Dead show
The friend I was supposed to go with got sick, so I had an extra ticket. When I mentioned this to the heads waiting in line with me, and they looked at me with awe. What would this newcomer do with his Miracle? Desperate ticket-seekers were walking up and down the line, flashing rolls of twenty-dollar bills and other less legal enticements. Then I noticed a lone woman in a granny desk standing nearby, one mournful finger raised. I handed her my Miracle without a word. She gave me a big hug and a smile I'll never forget. The crowd around me broke into applause. So easy to Get On The Bus.
I sat in the very back row, where the smoke is thick. Beside me was a college student who never spoke a word until EYES OF THE WORLD, when he looked at me and mumbled blearily, "This is where it gets 3-dimensional." :)
Subject: Yawners
The sound isnt bad or anything. And while i agree Murray doesnt mesh well with the band , i for one am always up for hearing a little outside exploration by a guest ...even if it doesnt turn out ripe. Over all , this was just one of those yawners. There is not spectacular highlights in this show that one could point **altho NFA is nice , but a day late and a dollar short as far as putting effort into this show.
Its a good listen if you dont have another show burning in your brain that you want to download.
